Belsti Gashaw Mebratie

A short biography/introduction

Belsti Gashaw Mebratie holds BA degree in English Language and Literature, from Jimma University, MA degree in TEFL from Bahir Dar University and PhD in TEFL from Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. He joined higher education as a lecturer in 20012. Since 2022, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor of TEFL, teaching undergraduate and graduate students and advising their theses. He previously served as Chairperson of the Department of English Language and Literature (2016-2018) at Debre Markos University, and is currently serving as Dean of College of Social Sciences and Humanities (October 2023- present). He has participated in community engagement initiatives.
