Mekonnen Esubalew Tariku, PhD

Mekonnen Esubalew Tariku, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at Debre Markos University, Ethiopia. He has taught high school, undergraduate, MA and PhD students and has held various administrative positions in both high school and university settings.  He has supervised 7 PhD and more than 50 MA students. He has also been actively involved in professional development activities and has contributed to curriculum development and other academic initiatives. He has won institutional and international research awards, published articles in reputable journals, and presented papers at national and international conferences. His research interests include vocabulary development, materials development, reflective teaching and learning, educational technology, and teacher professional development.
